Everytime I close my purchased CorelDRAW X8 copy, I get a nagging advertisement screen telling me to upgrade.
How can I stop this nagging screen from appearing?
NB: It's illegal to sell products to Germany showing such nagging screens without explicit consent and without option to easily opt-out of such consent.
I had the same problem and found out I was using the Trial version of the password. Ask Corel Corp for your current serial number using Your Clevrbridge reference number you received with purchase.
No, I'm using X8 for a couple of years with a purchased serial. That pop-up started appearing since X9 is out on the market.

Unfortunately, this is different. I previously already disabled the "Corel Update Helper" tool. That tool is not the cause.
By running a debugging session I noticed that there is a tool called "MsMpEng.exe" that's pointing to the messages that appear:
Unfortuantely, that tool is part of "Windows Security", so I cannot disable it. But I will see if I can focus in on the process that's reaching out for these files.
Hopefully, a Windows Firewall setting will stop these messages from appearing. Or I may find a registry settings that's stopping these illegal attempts to advertise.
OK, I found a file called "Message.policy" at "C:\Users\Axel\AppData\Roaming\Corel\Messages\540238885_807001".
That files is a pure XML file (i.e. text file). I changed the first digit of the timestamp value from "1" to "2". Hopefully this will keep messages from appearing for the next 100 years or so.
I will keep you informed about the success of this measure.
