Anyone know how to maintain an objects position when exporting as a PNG? The objects ends up being centered on the page after exporting but I need it to maintain its original postion.

Try creating the transparent background .png from PhotoPaint by...
Note, dimensions of the background with remain that of the original background layer until after pasting, the objects marquee will originally show the entire layer, but after clicking anywhere will revert to it's non-transparent pixels that are visible.
What I see from loading your file is an extra white-filled rectangle about 3 x 2.5 inches :
If you export from that file, you should see this in the preview :
The white area represents the area of the exported file ... the black and grey rectangles are not in the centre of it.
If you want the white area to be transparent, then change the white object to No Fill so that it still exists, but does not make a solid background.
So, you are looking for something like this. I put the line around the page for reference.
Set your page. Using Pick tool, Doulble click on the rectangle Tool to create a line around the page. Fill with White or what ever color you wish. Change rectangle line to none. Create your desired design. With nothing selected Export to PNG. When you get to the PNG export page. Select image color under the transparency. Use the eyedropper to select image color to use for transparency. Preview to check all goes well. Click OK
