I have been offered this product through a 3rd party web site but can't seem to find any information about it.
CorelDRAW Esssential Edition 3 (that's the real name) and CorelDRAW Essentials 4 (the latest version) are products based on CorelDRAW Graphics Suite (X3 and X4 respectively), but with a subset of the features. These Essentials products cannot be (legally) purchased without being bundled / installed with hardware, e.g. it is the main version Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) can include with their offering. The only place in the world you can legally buy CorelDRAW Essentials on its own is in Japan.

Hello, I can see that the last entry is some years old, so I do not know if you still answer these questions.
I have read the conversation regarding Essentials, and have a question regarding, CorelDRAW Essentials 2. Was this one then also bundled?
I am asking as I can see many page with a box for sale.

Hej Stefan
The reason why I am interesting in knowing is that I work with SAM (Software asset management) and I have to find out which product installed on customer PCs are commercial. I have CorelDRAW 2. So I now need to find out if this requires a license or not.
It has proved rather difficult I am afraid ;-)
So, I was wondering if the version 2 perhaps was commercial and from then on they became OEM?

Hej Hanne,
I understand. As a beta tester I will send an email to Gérard Metraillier at Corel about this thread, so check back soon. I will send him an email now. Stockholm time 18 sept. 15:09 ;-)
Hoppas allt är bra i Danmark. Här i stockholm regnar det just nu
CorelDRAW Essentials 2 was available both as a boxed product in retail in some countries in Europe as well as a bundled product with hardware manufacturers. I believe we launched CorelDRAW Essentials 2 in 2003 if memory serves.
Tusinde tak for din hjælp.
I dag har vi det skøneste efterårs vejr.
På fredag kommer jeg næsten på dine bredegrader! Min veninde og jeg skal bo i 'Gamle stan' i Malmø og vi skal på Malmø Messen og se Tutkanamon udstillingen.
Many Thank you for your kind help.
Hanne
Hello,
OK. So my feeling that version 2 had (also) been commercial was right then.
I will straight away go and correct it - after yesterday I altered the 'Financial Status' from 'Commercial' to 'Bundled'. I can click both of them. I will do that immediately.
I had the date down as 16. October 2003.
Thank you for anwering.
Best regards
