When I try to import a MathType 6 object into CorelDraw10, all of the greek characters are replaced by their Roman equivalent.
How do I fix this problem?
If you have greek characters, then copy the equation in Mathtype. Open up PowerPoint, and paste as a Windows Metafile. Then copy the same thing again, go to Corel, and paste as a windows metafile.
this takes care of the greek characters. however, it may also screw up some of the expressions, moving subscripts, and it doesn't like things like x(s), so you may have to post-edit after ungrouping it.
its a real pain. Corel should be embarassed to have this kind of problem.
other workaround i have used is to paste into power point from mathtype, enlarge about 10x, copy, then paste into corel as a bitmap. makes for a bigger file, but its an ok quick and dirty method.
Hi,
as I mentioned in a recent post:
http://community.coreldraw.com/forums/p/33770/158927.aspx#158927
Mathtype seems to work fine now in Coreldraw X6 (I'm pretty sure my previous tests with X5 were unfruitful).
All the special symbols (closed integrals, summations, etc.) seem to work (not just basic math as above). So, no more fooling around pasting in bitmaps, etc. I wonder what they fixed...
Cheers, MT
