I found my old copy of Corel Draw 3 which I hardly used when I purchased it a long time ago. I decided I could use it to make designs to trace for embroidery digitizing, however, I am getting an "error writing to file" message when I try to save drawings I have created. I am using Windows XP. Can anyone help me?.
Have you tried running CorelDRAW 3 in a "compatibility mode"? That is all I can think of to suggest aside from getting your hands on a Windows 3.1 machine. Hope that helps.
Well, I tried running the compatability mode and that doesn't work either! So I used help and support and they had me do some things in the registry editor because I understand from them that Microsoft Officer 3 disabled cdr files from being saved as well as numerous other file extensions from other programs. However, this did not help, so what I do, is create my drawing, copy and paste them in to Corel Photo Paint XI and voila! I have my bitmap drawings that I need. So all is well that ends well.
