Hi,
I´d updated a few weeks ago to CorelDraw X6(from X4).
There are a few improvements I like much but there is a problem in the colour settings for pdf...
If I convert a CMYK Draw X4 doc to pdf(pdf for print)....Black is Black means (100%K).
But if I do the same with X6 I have no 100%K - I got all colours in the black part.
I cant send this to the printery...where is the mistake in the colour management???
I tried a few changes in the colour management but could not succeed.
For info - using CorelDraw X6 on windows 7 - CMYK and have Acrobat X to proof the output.
Thanks for your help!
Hi David,
I changed the colour setting as you recommended...without success...hope I did it the right way...see below...
in X4 i used this colour setting...
As missing...for both the export to pdf following the same standard configurations..preprint...
Hope this helps!
Preprrss isn X5 and X6 uses a native color format for export can you please send me captures of the PDF dialogs in X4 and X6 and a small test file. davidmilisock@graphictechnology.com
did send you the mail with all details and sample datas...Thanks!
I looked at the 2 PDF files you sent me, the cmyk colors were nearly identical, hower the X6 PDF had an embedded ICC profile and the X4 file did not as X4 was not capable of this function. That is the reason for the difference in file size. Also ICC color managed devicesd would run the X4 file based on an assumed source profile, the X6 file was tagged as the device had the actual profile for correct conversion, that most likely explains any difference in the output since the CMYK values were nearly identical.
