Hello, I am new to this site and Corel DRAWings software. I have seen the Corel DRAWings 3 and 4 software advertised. Does anyone know if i need the standard version to begin with or can i purchase the Corel DRAWings 4 software and begin there. Is this for beginners? I am a small time business just starting out. Can you help me?
Hello,
since the release of Corel DRAWings 3 (there never was a version 4 released by Corel), we have entered a new partnership with the leader in Embroidery software, Wilcom. The product that replaced Corel DRAWings 3 in the Corel portfolio is Wilcom DecoStudio e1.5. You can find more information about it either on corel.com or on wilcom.com.au.

I use DRAWings X3 and I find that Corel has entered more than one partnership in Embroidery no just the Wilcom people.
DRAWings X4 (Import from embroidery level is included) 1799 $
http://www.creative-drawings.com/creative_drawings/index.htm
- Creative DRAWings® - Wings' modular® Basic module - 3,000 embroidery designs - 204 individually selected embroidery designs - 200 vector files - USB Security Key - Installation Guide - Quick Start Guide - Help files - Printable on-line manual - Retail Price $499.00
I also have PE Design 7 and something funny happened, when I save as PES in Drawings X3, I could not opened in PE Design, saying unrecognisable format.
Kelley, like Gerard explained to you, DRAWings is no longer partnered with Corel.
Now, Corel and Wilcom have joined together in either Deco Studio or ES 1.5
That being said, you can still use a Corel file with DRAWings4 if you want.
It's just that now, DRAWings doesn't need to have Corel to work. It is a stand-alone piece of software. It no longer comes bundled with a version of Corel.
Clear as mud?
I have and I use both DRAWings with Corel as well as Wilcom with Corel.
Hope that helps to clarify and not to confuse you, even more.
Thanks Jersey Girl,
Clear as semitransparent water, lol

Hello
I am using Corel Draw X3 graphic suite for many things but currently I am trying to create an embroidery. The Pfaff application I have doesn't cut it and to get the full package will be quite expensive. I have been looking at some adverisements and wondering if there is an embroidery package that is compatible with the X3 to convert vectors or bitmaps into decent machine embroideries and then save as VP3. I am a home user and not a professional and have looked at the Wilcom DecoStudio e1.5 but find that for my current use that it is also quite expensive. Is there anything available in a lower price range? I have no doubt that you get what you pay for but I am not certain I will continue to make embroideries from my drawings.
