Hello *,
I am new to corelcad. In fact, I am looking at the trial to make my buying decision.
I have installed the trial of corelcad2013 and have opened a autocad lt file from autocad lt 2002 (I guess).
I see a black model page.
When I select all (ctrl+A) I see all elements selected.
Any way to get them visible?
Kind Regards
Karl-Heinz
Try setting your model background to white. It seems the drawing may have been made with dark colours that will be very difficult to see on a black background.
If the drawing objects do show up, but you prefer a black background after all, you may want to check if the colours are set to bylayer or not. If yes, then you could change the layer colours to something that will show up better on a black background. If the object colours are not set to bylayer you will have to analyze the drawing how to continue from there with changing the colours and how to change them.

Hi,
the general question in all forums is: what and how!
The what you gave me an answer to. Now I am looking to find the how.
By the way: I have tried already before to go to drawing options via right click in the model view.
There within "view" you can set some colours and I have choosen to set model background to white - but nothing happened. I stil see the black model screen.
Hi
I don't have CorelCAD myself but am using other CAD software and based on the descriptions about CorelCAD quite a few things in CorelCAD should work similar as in AutoCAD and/or IntelliCAD etc.
Here is a way that may work:
1. Make sure you are in Model space
2. In the command line type: BKGCOLOR
3. Hit the enter key
4. At the prompt for the colour type 7 and hit enter
Now the background colour for your model space should be white.
Here's a screenshot of the Options dialog where you can specify the model background (and other application elements') color:
Options > System Options > Display > Element Colors...select "Model Background" and pick desired color
(in the German UI it's: Extras menu > Optionen... > Systemoptionen > Anzeige > Elementfarben > Modellhintergrund)
The background color changes once you click "Apply" in the dialog or when you exit the dialog by clicking OK.

Do you see dashed lines and/ or blue grips for the selected objects on screen? If not, you may need to zoom out to display all elements as they are out of the currently displayed area (use Zoom Fit from the Zoom tool bar for that):
Also, in the Properties palette (should be opened on the right of the application screen) you should see what has been selected.
That should give you at least an indication of what you should see (i.e. number of objects, variing object types and properties or all objects of the same color, layer, line type etc.):
Best regards, freundliche Grüße,Klaus
