Edit Text bug (Ctrl+Shift+T)

When using I the Edit Text dialog (Ctrl+Shift+T) it will often insert a carriage return in front of the edited text string when you hit OK to end the edit.

  • Hello Bill; I'm using X6 64 bit and mine doesn't do that. The only time I use that short cut is to change case, for just to edit the line of text or a work I double click the text.
What ver. of Draw are you using, ( mine is 16.3.0.1114 )?

    George

Yes, I have that too (win 7 pro, .net 4.5, X6.3+hotfix, 64 bit). A number of other people have reported this and the reports began about the same time as either X6.3 or the subsequent hotfix.

It does seem that not everybody has the problem -- unless, perhaps, the others are not using control-shift-T to edit the text, or it is dependent on the font.

The alternative, to zoom in close and edit the text direct in the design (ie, without using control-shift-T) does seem to work without introducing the extra returns.
