Please help.
Hello Alessandro,
If you already have CorelDRAW graphics Suite X6 installed, thenyou wont be able to install "CorelDraw Technical Suite X6". For that reason Corel released: "CorelDRAW Technical Pack for Graphics Suite X6". Click the link below
http://www.corel.com/corel/product/index.jsp?pid=prod5040077
So if you have the Graphics Suite, then try uninstall it - BUT BEWARE to be SIGNED IN BEFORE uninstalling due to Install/uninstall count.
Technical suite X6 have the same basically as Graphics Suite X6. But the Technical "CorelDRAW" looks a bit different.
So question is - do you already have CorelDRAW graphics Suite X6 installed?
Ps. Ibra won the worlds best goal yesterday at Fifa Ballon DÓr ;-)
Thank you for the suggestion, but no, there was no previous Corel software installed. I also tried a complete system cleaup with CCleaner but nothing changed.
The installation of the demo version worked fine on a 64-bit machine running Windows 7 (no previous Corel installations). The problem is only with Windows 8.1.
Ciao Alessandro,
I read the specs and it says it should work on windows 8.Personally I have just recently bought a new laptop with Windows 8.1 and havent had time to install my Technical suite just yet.
But, I am a beta tester for CorelDRAW and will alert some Corel people. Hopefully they will know what to do.
Keep looking at this post!

Alright, will look for any news. Thank you.
Hi Alessandro,
the one additional suggestion that the TechSupport team has based on the information you gave is this:
- Turn off User Access Control (UAC) in Windows and then launch the application installer again.
If that doesn't help you should contact the support team directly for further help. Go to www.corel.com/support and register the software with your corel.com customer account (you have to create an account if you didn't do so before). You need the serial no. for registering the software and take advantage of the free warranty support.
Hope that helps!
Best regards,Klaus.
Thank you Klaus,
tried your suggestion, but no results. Also tried running Windows in safe mode but still unable to install X6.
I will try later to contact the support team.
Alessandro,
Can you run the Windows Update and install all Critical updates for Windows and then try to run the setup of Designer again? Let us know. Thank you.
