Once in a great while powerclip contents will just disapear...vanish! It also took some of my gradient fills, regular fills and pattern fills with it.
strange happenings! Any clues?
have you enabled the "center the contents of new powerlip" under Tools/options?
if you edit the contents of the powerclip, can you see the objects?
I have found that using "center contents" is not conductive to my style of design. Objects are usually at the correct X-Y positioning before I powerclip them.
This is definatly a glitch. This project has been in process for quite a while and the powerclip contents had been there for several days. It was not only the powerclip contents but some of the fills outside the powerclip.
I had to open the backup file and copy paste to restore the document. I get this 2 or 3 times a year and so its not a major concern but it does happen. I do know of other designers that it has happend to. If it happens again I will send you the CDR and the backup so you can see exactly what happend.

Me too, I never use it, but I do the question because this option move the content
But, more than this, I'm interest to find the origin of the problem, so this allows to find a solution if it happens the next time. For example, we know that we can use an open curve to do a powerclip, but sometimes the curve is closed and the solution is not so easy: select all nodes with the Shape Tool (F10) and choose "invert direction" from the Propierty Bar. Also, if the container is a text, you can convert it to curves. Sometimes an effect such as a lens or transparency can cause problems with powerclip.
Wow, Ariel......................you just made my day.
In all these years, I never knew that you could powerclip inside an open curve!!!!
Wonderful. I absolutely love learning something new. Cool beans.
Thank you very much.
I was working inside one powerclip and after I was finished it was the other powerclips that had the problem along with the objects around the powerclip. The fills were gone on the objects outside the powerclip. I did have a transparency on top of the powerclip but not on all the objects that went blank.
