Hello Everyone :)
I have this scenario, I currently making a very huge family tree.. I tried to make the name and years of a person put inside a box.. after thousands of boxes made, I then realized that the boxes are too large that would take so much spaces when constructed in a family tree.. I then tried to group per box just only few (because what I usually do is just duplicating boxes by selecting the box and the texts inside without having to group them and just edit the texts inside the box for another person) and tried to use the attributes eyedropper to set new sizes for the rest of the boxes but before that, I set one new resized sample box proportionally (which has texts inside grouped together). The result is only the box changed not as a whole group. I tried checking everything on the transformation flyout but still the same. How can I change the rest of the boxes by not manually entering the height and width sizes each box?? it would take me hundreds of hours to finish it all.
PLEASE HELP :(
Can you please send sample file (with few boxes and names - original sizes and required sizes). Sample Cdr file as version X5 (15) or lower.
I would like to test solution I am working on.
Thank you for the file.
Splitting into two separate steps:
1. group each rectangle and appropriate texts (inside rectangle)
2. resize selected
Attached you can find macro that has two parts:
1. group macro - select each rectangle (one by one) and shapes inside (curve or text) then group it together
2. replace_size macro – select all objects (in your case grouped rectangles) and run macro, you will see pointer to select required size (i.e. 3rd generation rectangle)
Note: In the case you don’t know how to add macro
Run macro manager ALT+SHIFT+F11 – select load
