I´d updated a few weeks ago to CorelDraw X6(from X4).
There are a few improvements I like much but there is a problem in the colour settings for pdf...
If I convert a CMYK Draw X4 doc to pdf(pdf for print)....Black is Black means (100%K).
But if I do the same with X6 I have no 100%K - I got all colours in the black part.
I cant send this to the printery...where is the mistake in the colour management???
I tried a few changes in the colour management but could not succeed.
For info - using CorelDraw X6 on windows 7 - CMYK and have Acrobat X to proof the output.

Due to the changes in color management in X6, you will have to set the option to get it work :
GoTo Tools > Color Management > Default Settings
Find and check the box for "Preserve Pure Black"

I´d checked this in the colour manangement before...but doesn´t help!
It`s interesting in the meantime, I´d sent the pdf/X-1a to the printery - the colour separisation is fine in this format via Corel...
- but surprisingly not with normal pdf for preprint!

First are you sing the default color management settings in, X4 and X6?
What PDF standard Corel created settings do you use?
Are the file contents in CorelDRAW specifically the black content created in RGB?

Its the same doc. The document is in CMYK - The Color is - 100%K.
pdf - settings are - pdf for preprint(Druckvorstufe in German) - Corel Orginal - Exported CMYK Isocoated v2 (ECI)
here my current profile in CDX6...
My first observation is that you have preserve pure black checked and you should not. Also map gray to K of CMYK needs to be checked. also I would set rendeing intent to perceptual. I wouls alos use WCS color engine.
Please post screen captures of you X4 settings.
Also post captures of your PDF settings.
