Using Coreldraw X3 the problem I have is new I have never encountered it before. I type a word and as long as the cursor remains in the text of the word all is okay as soon as I click outside the text it goes black as if it is in bold mode but it is not if I put the cursor back in the word it returns to normal. I am using arial 10pt. and have tried other fonts and they do the same. If I start a new drawing and type the words that I want and copy/paste into the drawing I am woking on it is fine no problems. Any answers would be appreciated.

If you select the new word after it goes black, is it showing an outline on the status line ?
