I know that I can get rid of this by re-setting the workspace, but I thought that the bit after the notification might prove insightful to someone...
D:/WALDO/V1300/APPS/VGCORE/CDRCORE/... (the dialogue box ran out of space)
I've never had this directory structure on my machine: I would guess that one of the programmers left something inside the core programming.
{X3 running on a Vista laptop with 2Gb RAM and masses of HD space}
Dumb question, but how do I reset the workspace?
I get a similar error when the 'splash-screen' is displayed:#5000-D:/WALDO/V1300/APPS/VGCORE/CDRCORE/DRAWLIBAPP-2460
I remember having this error about a year ago, and solving it by overwriting some files. I can't seem to remember what files and where.
System is Corel Graphics Suite X3 running on XP SP3, P8400 @ 2,2GHz, 3GB RAM. Everything still worked two days ago.
TIA,
Peter
Hi Peter,
not a dumb question at all
Hold down the F8 key on your keyboard while starting up CorelDraw. Click Yes when asked if you want to reset your Workspace (I can't remember the exact wording used in the dialog box). That takes your workspace back to its factory original. Keep in mind that you have to re-enter all of your preferences when you do this.
Best regards,Brian.
Thank you. It didn't work though Don't ask me why, but copying the directory from ...\Local Settings\Anwendungsdaten\Corel13 (German system) to ...\Local Settings\Application Data\Corel13 did the job. Strange thing is that removing the Corel13 directory in "Anwendungsdaten" and pressing F8 during Corel startup, would restore the directory structure and files in the "Anwendungsdaten" directory.
Anyway, it works again. Thanks for the help.
