We frequently find dimension lines in our schematics that are dynamic but have a broken link or are linked to a node on an unexpected object. How do we edit a dimension line and re-link it to the desired object or nodes? While the dimension line can be recreated, it is often frustrating because it still requires you to modify the font, position, and other attributes to the original. Thank you for any assistance.
One possible "workaround" might be to select both the dimension and the shape, duplicate in place (hit the + key on the number pad), remove the fill & outline of the shape then move one end node to the desired node. Then delete the dimension from the original.
Been playing around with another possible workaround. Create a straight horizontal line segment (any length) just two points. Make the horizontal dimension to that line segment. Set the outline color to none. Use the shape tool to snap the ends to any node on the shape as desired. Same for a vertical one too.
