Sigh, Corel Draw just seems to get worse and worse.
I double click color to get the hex value (website design) but I cannot copy and paste? Is there a place to copy and paste or, in 2020, I'm back to re-tying things?
What are you double clicking, in Draw or a web site?
From Corel I eye dropper then have to add to palette, then double click color square.
Ok assuming you have the document palette activated, once you sample a color the fill bucket of the tool will allow you to fill an item and it automatically updates the document palette.
Yes, but how can I get the HEX value to put into my web design? Not to repeat myself, but right now, I double click the color square and the diaglue witll the values (RGB, CMYK, HEX, ETC comes up), but I cannot select/copy paste. I have to re-type them. Does that make sense? Do I need a screenshot?
Are you trying to use CorelDRAW to "sample" a color from your display - and then you want to copy the hex value to use that value in some other software?
Theoretical Scenario
1). Take customers bitmap logo
2) Sample color from logo
3) Retrieve Hex value for website
As I mentioned above, I can do the sampling, it's copying and pasting the HEX value that is no longer allowed (grayed out)
OK, that helps.
Where are you trying to copy the hex value from?
If you are looking at the "Edit Fill" dialog, then if you are looking at a color with Color palettes selected, the value cannot be copied. If you change to Color viewers mode, then the field becomes editable (and you can select and copy from it).
Steps I'm taking.
1) I eye dropper the color
2) then have to add to palette (stupid, but there you go),
3) then I double click color square (lower left...moved from lower right in last version.)
