It is now July and I still do not see any new bug fixes to correct the multitude of issues with this latest design of CorelDraw 2019. I have every current update installed and am wondering if the new owners(a hedge fund) even care about quality? I know I would definitely want to have people who use my products to be able to give glowing recommendations, but with 2019 it is becoming difficult to recommend it to my peers. While there have always been issues with Corel, particularly exporting as an EPS file, for the most part, the design aspects have performed as expected. But now there are a bunch of issues that make it difficult to convert to and I find I have to continue using 2018 to get reliable production done. This is the worst upgrade I have ever purchased from Corel and they should be ashamed they released it with it being so buggy! Any news on updates would be appreciated because I feel they sold me a lemon, and worse they keep dropping the upgrade price without any fixes available which have me concerned that they don't intend to fix it.
After reading many complaints about 2019 I was hesitant to upgrade however when the upgrade came on sale I got it and have been very happy as there is a feature which made life easier for me. In other words 2019 is as stable as all my previous versions X7 and 2017 and in my opinion 2019 is not a lemon at all, its more of a peach.
2019 is running on Windows 10 Home 64 bit on a stock laptop HP Pavilion 15-au018wm, and on a older Lenovo with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. So with two completely different systems one with Win 10 / i7 CPU and the other with Win 7 / i5 CPU its fine, no worries.
You haven't listed what are your issues with 2019, so what are they?
I played with the programming side and found a glitch in the applybitmapeffect method. You can apply the effect, but you cannot adjust the settings and it seems to be consistent across all the different applybitmapeffects. That is just the first thing I found that makes the programming aspect kind of limited and I wasted a whole half hour on figuring it out, and then went searching and found others who ran into this issue. I count on macros to create a lot of shortcuts and if I can't rely on being able to program them then it becomes that much more unusable.
