I am trying to import high resolution images for a large scale project. Every time I import the images, Corel downsamples them to 300px. How do I work around this?
The import tool for import for high resolution output is greyed out. I don't remember this being a problem in the past (I've been using Corel since 1990).
I can't find any help on Google and am not sure what changed. It's been a while since I've needed large scale images. What changed?
Ariel - thank you for your reply. I needed confirmation that the resampling tool does indeed reformat images to the desired dpi when enlarging. It seems to have worked fine and I have sent off the large format files.
it's not the same 300x300 pixels than 300 dpi

Scaling an image with the pick tool does not resample the image. It merely changes the dpi. All data in the image is retained as imported.
You cannot increase resolution for an image with too few pixels unless you use a specialist tool like PhotoZoom, and even then you cannot create detail that was not in the original. Like I said above if you need 150dpi on a 96" poster you need 14k px horizontally, That is one heck of a big image.
