I apologize if this is old school or has been covered elsewhere. I have many fonts installed in my Windows font folder, but I am unable to access any of them through CorelDraw 2019. If anyone can provide steps for me on how I can access my desired fonts, please be kind and share.
Hi Teri,Here's a shot in the dark...When you drop down the list of fonts, have you tried clicking on the very little funnel logo on the top right corner of the menu? You'll notice a variety of options to choose from for you to customize your list.
I'd go for the same solution. Clean and complete uninstall. I use REVO UNINSTALLER. Then re-install.Good luck
Hello, I was able to wipe CorelDraw as complete uninstall. I reinstalled using the CD mailed to me instead of activating the trial as previous.I was quite hopeful.
Unfortunately, it did not work. I have fonts in my font folder that I cannot access; I cannot even see them when I look in Font Manager (or the font drop down within CR). Totally puzzled as I have been using CorelDraw since X4 and I have never had this issue until they added Font manager.
I've been in touch with CD support, but they are extremely difficult to understand and sync with.
I give up!
Teri-Designer.In your screenshot from last month, there are some parts activated in the Filters section.Try disabling all (click the funnel icon) and see if it makes any difference.I believe all fonts in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder should be added to CFM by default, and be available in Draw if no filters are active.
Thank you, Ronny. I cleared filters as suggested. Didn't help.
Just for giggles, I downloaded a new font and installed to Windows: Loki Cola
2 Screenshots: 1st is font folder - shows 4 fonts that begin with Lo, starting with Lobster Regular
2nd is document in CorelDraw - only 1 font that begins with Lo
Strange. And you said you had tried to restored the database by holding F8 while starting Corel Font Manager 2019?
Yes, strange!I know and I just don't get it. YES, I have tried several times to open Font Manager holding F8.
I sure wish Corel would help me out. Calling doesn't help; they create a ticket. Tickets do not help; by the time they call they don't understand the problem.
Teri-Designer said:by the time they call they don't understand the problem.
pretty typical...that's why I don't use them... they are TOTALLY WORTHLESS and nothing but pure frustration and a LOT of wasted time. Not to mention the THICK foreign accents and condescending attitudes which make it so difficult on top of that. They talk to you like your stupid or something... yet personally I LIVE and DIE by computers, been using CorelDraw since V1 and VERY FLUENT in computer technology. I figure my problems out 99% of the time.. but v2019 cannot be until Corel FIXES what they broke with it.
I agree that 2019 needs to have serious programming improvements to get back to where 2018 is.
Also not just Corel but many companies and government agencies need to address language barriers. Support needs to be useful and the customer is not a bad guy because they cannot understand a person who speaks with an unreasonable accent.
