Hi guys, Ive recently started working with laser engraving and such. And in the process, i've been learning about Coreldraw. However, I've hit a bit of a snag... I've been trying to create a bigger project, where I have used printmerge to get 20 pages with the same logo, but different text. That part is done and learned, however, my issue comes now that i have 20 different pages, which I would love to get packed into 1 file to export as dxf and then imported into RDworks. As it is right now, im forced to converting all 20 pages to dxf and then import and arrange them manually in RDworks. Is there any way to solve this? It would cut my procestime down drastically. Thanx in advance.
You might want to consider "imposition layout", which is a way to put multiple (smaller) pages onto one (larger) page.
For one example, see what I posted in this thread: custom quantity of tiling with crop marks.
You might look at some of the videos on YouTube from EngravingConcepts1. There are some specifically about imposition layout.
My issue with imposition layout, is that I currently arent able to print directly from this computer. So i need to prepare the files before and then take it to the laser. :) But I think I've figured out a temp solution, using a bit of the info Myron gave in his first reply. :) So ive set up a document with a bunch of guidelines and then snap to guideline active. Then im able to copy 1 over and then duplicate that one into 2, then again populate a whole row and then duplicate that row into the rows beneath :) Its not really what i wanted, but its the only solution, I seem to find at the moment :)
