Square/rectangle rounding corners options different in 2019?

In version X4, if you created a square or rectangular object, you could immediately (after creating it) click directly on the corner of the object and pull the node so it rounded the corners on the fly.  Is this still an option in 2019?  Seems I need to click on the shape tool first to do that in 2019 or click on the corners option in the properties bar.

It occurs to me that this may no longer be an option since there is now the option to have scalloped, rounded or chamfered corners, but just want to make sure this isn't

  • Under Options>CorelDRAW Options>Nodes and Handles, see if you have "Enable node tracking" checked.

    If that is checked, then CorelDRAW can automatically switch to the Shape tool when the cursor gets close enough to a node.

    There is a command to control that setting. If you use workspace customization to put that command on a toolbar, then it gives you a one-click way to toggle that on/off. It also serves as a visual indicator of the status of the setting. Here it is on my Status Bar, marked in red:
