Hi everyone,
I'm running CorelDraw 22.1.1.523 on a MacBook Pro 2.9 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 and it's slow and sluggish.
If I look at the Activity Monitor I can see a process called InterprocessController whose parent process is CorelDraw 2020 running high.
Has anyone seen this before
thanks in advance
Marcus
They have very hollowgramatic Dr Lanning issues in support. "My responses are limited, you need to ask the right question."
Unless you are asking "what key is used to get a magnifier glass" then you are asking too much.
The only way you are going to prove the issue is get another Mac that is similar and has a clean OS and load on Draw and check if it happens on a clean system. You are going to need to confirm the bug. You have to work out that this isn't some software or hardware interaction that is specific to you.
Another member of Corel support decided to try and assist and the following workedInterprocessControler is related to FontManager. Please restore your FontManager Database and see if it works better.First, make sure that you have quit the program properly.1. Go to /Users/{username}/Library/Application Support/Corel/Databases/V4.02. Open V3.1 and delete all sqlitedb.cache and sqlitedb files3. Check the invalidfonts.txt and remove the mentioned font from that location that is mentioned. Ignore the message: /System/Library/Fonts/Supplemental/NISC18030.ttf4. Hold Shift and launch FontManager 2020. Overwrite FontManager and Databases and wait until all fonts are loaded.Regards, SimoneCorel Customer Support Services
Did it work to resolve the issue?
yes, issue resolved
Why the font manager does not just filter out invalid fonts is baffling. This problem has been around since X8. Maybe they can't program a working filter.
