Hi Guys!
I've been trying to use the "Remove JPEG Artifacts" feature on version 24.0.0.301, but clicking the command or button doesn't do anything.
There is no change in the opened image.
Is this a bug or do I need to activate something to use this feature?
Thanks and Greetings! Byrial
Can you post a link to download your test image please? JPG artifacts have been the Bain of the image industry, I only use the file format when I'm transmitting a file directly fir output over the internet. I believe there are some AI filters on the market now but I found it easier to mostly abandon the file format.
Hi!
Basically, I use JPG less often, but for me the feature would be quite useful for other reasons.
Here is a link with a test image: www.impactsim.de/.../BudSpencer2.jpg
I noticed that trying to use "Remove JPEG artifacts" doesn't add anything to the undo list either. So it seems that the command is simply "blind".
I have never used this filter in decades of PP or Draw use. In Draw is does nothing but shows up in the undo menu, in Photo-PAINT it does nothing but does not show up in the undo list.
Unfortunately, no JPG artifact removal filter I have can save this image, calling it awful is an insult to the term.
Yes, as I said, it's a test image, because I wanted to test the feature once... ;-)
So did I understand correctly that it doesn't work for you either?
Totally dysfunctional.
Definitely broken in PP 2022.FWIW, it works correctly in 2020.
The issue seems to be known so there is at least some hope that it will be fixed in an update (fingers crossed).
