I use the Symbol Library like I breath oxygen. I have hundreds of everyday symbols. I use symbols on my office PC and my home PC. Now usually there isn't a problem but for some reason my home PC will no longer load any symbols in the symbols docker. I don't know what happened. It shows the folder I selected by nothing underneath.
I'm hoping maybe I can bump this because I don't have a resolution to this so far. This is happening on 2 different computers and I can't figure out a resolution. I have completely wiped Corel from one computer and resinstalled. I deleted a folder I can find relating to Corel in the App Data, Documents, and Program Files. Not sure what's left.
We are also seeing this. It's kind of a deal breaker. Can anyone from Corel respond please?
I only use Local Symbols and they are stored in "\Documents\Corel\Corel Content\Symbols\" by default. This folder path can be changed in Options > Global > File Locations.Guess there should be a way to change the path for Network Smbols too, but I have no idea how.
I think you should be able to Import your Network Symbols like this:Click "Network Symbols" in the docker.Click the Options button in upper right corner and select "Import Library".Locate your network symbols library (.cls) and click OK.Should work.Edit: Looks as the network file path is stored in SymbolsPath.iniC:\Users\ < your username > \AppData\Roaming\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2022\Config
The paths for where the Symbols docker looks for (both local and network) symbols is stored in the user settings in the \AppData\Roaming\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2022\Config path. Look for "SymbolsPaths.ini".
You could try to remove the entry under "[<CORELID_NETWORK_SYMBOLS>]" and then use "Import Library" again in the Symbols docker, to recreate the connection to the (main) network path.
As you can see in the screenshot there is no such problem on the device I've tested with.
When importing the library (path) make sure you leave the "Copy libraries locally" checkbox off to only connect to the path on the network.
The Symbols docker displays CSL files only that are stored in the selected folder, and with "Recursive" being select on library import the subfolders are displayed as well, with CSL files if there are any stored in the folder.
