I cannot do any design work in Corel draw suite 2022. Every time I open Corel I see the home screen and recent documents worked on. Double click the document I previously worked on. The blue circle goes round and round. I go to ctrl - alt - del and its not responding. I End the program and go through it all again.
So i done a system restore to past date didn't work. And also reinstalled the software no use.
So what do I do. To get the software working. I cant spend weeks on this.
Can someone from COREL come forward with an answer.
If pictures are needed Ill post them. And any further information needed as well.
Does it happen with all documents?Try creating a fresh document with some simple objects, save, restart and then try to open again. Same thing?Maybe it has something to do with object styles?I remember Draw had a tendency to build up huge amounts of object styles that were saved with the documents, and that these made Draw slow and unstable. But that was several versions ago so I assume it has been fixed. Here's a link to a thread where the object styles issue is discussed.
There are only a few recent documents. Ive been working and my computer is 3 weeks new since i remastered it. Im getting fed up with this. Ill end up having to go to ILLUSTRATOR. All of a sudden since tues night i went to open documents nothing will load from welcome/main screen. Where it shows documents previously worked on. Nothing opens.
Ok i created new document put shapes in it and closed. Then opened it and all is fine. Yet I cant open the files from previous version or the new ones ive spent weeks on.
i went to the chat window for COREL direct. explained the situation and was told to do these steps:
1. Press the Windows + R buttons to get the "Run".2. In the empty field, type %temp% and press Enter.3. The system will display all temporary files; delete all files; Click "Ignore" if a window appears saying that some files are in use.
4. Go to Start5. Click Run6. Type %appdata% and press Enter7. Right-click the Corel folder and rename it to Corel.old8. Reopen CorelDraw
9. Then hold down the F8 key and start CorelDraw by clicking on its icon.10. A message will appear asking if you want to replace the workspace; click Yes.11. Click Yes and release the F8 key.
this clears all temp files and resets work space. that fixes the issue. they also said clear out temp files once week and all should be fine.
and yes this works. posting it here for others to see and use.
