For about a week now, every time I start CorelDraw I get the above message. When I first upgraded it was fine, them one morning it appeared.
I click OK, CorelDraw completes start up but no file opens.
I click Cancel, CorelDraw completes start up.
Is there somewhere I can look to see if a backup file exists?
Or is there a way to reset so message no longer appears.
In Options > CorelDRAW > Save, you will find the location where Draw saves its backup files. Most likely in the Temp folder if you haven't changed it manually.Close Draw and delete any file in that folder related to Draw (you can actually delete all files, those that are in use can not be deleted).Restart Draw.
Thanks Ronny
I did that and still get the message.
Strange.Close Draw.Locate the settings.ini file inC:\Users\ <your username> \AppData\Roaming\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 2024\Draw\WorkspaceOpen settings.ini with Notepad.Search for AutobackupThis will show the path for the autobackup files (which should be the same as in Options > CorelDRAW > Save).Go to that folder and search for AUTOBACKUP_OF_Delete.
Hello Steve,
Did you get this issue resolved?
Ronny's suggestion didn't work for me either.
I encountered the exact same problem after a crash. Just couldnt get the Auto-backup message to stop. Had to do a reinstall.
Happened again and this time I went into the registry and deleted a FileRecovery key. That fixed it.
For those encountering this issue this is the only way I know of, as of now. Seems like a serious bug in this version.
If your CorelDRAW crashes while working, you are going to get this issue when you fire up CorelDRAW again.
