With latest updates of Windows 10 - Corel become ultra slow. Do anybody now how to find issue occur and how to avoid that behavior?
I have AMD RX480 GPU. Dropped back to WHQL driver 17.7.2 (per suggestion on this site). Used "Clean Install" option. Seems to have fixed things for me. The features I used that were SLOW (20 to 50 seconds) are now approximately normal speed -- nearly instantaneous to a couple seconds. Other people may have different results.
I have a help session booked. However, I will cancel that because the fix suggested on this forum site worked.
For what its worth.
Thank you! Saved my life! Was getting this slowly options since Fall Creators... didn't know what to do, I just did a clean Windows install and nothing... the driver + FC were the problem.... let's wait for a fix...
My problem is the 17.7.2 driver is incompatible with the AMD Radeon Pro WX 5100 card I'm using. I know there is a way to modify the .inf, but I haven't had time to dive into any of that. I contacted AMD around 2 weeks ago, no reply. MIcrosoft, same thing. I'm currently back and forth with Corel tech support trying to explain that this issue will become larger as more and more people adopt the Fall Creators Update as it definitely is an issue between Windows, AMD video cards & Corel. So far, I've been told to delete my temp files, reset Corel & if that fails perform a repair. We all know that doesn't work. Anyways, here's a list of other forum posts with the same issue.
Windows 10 Fall Creators Update - delay in various functions
CorelDraw 2017 takes 20 seconds to open file, 10 seconds to create new.
I will update here as soon as any other means of fixing this issue arises.
