Can someone please tell me how to center an object in a circle again. It has something to do with cntl K I believe.
To center any object to another only requires to select both and press C and E
Ctrl+K is for Break Apart any effect
if what you want is to fit a text to the circle, there's no shortcut for this, just select both and go to the text menu, fit text to path
Thank you C and D did it.
Thanks for the diagram Ahmad. But you need to be aware of one caveat. If you have the "Treat all objects as filled" option as unchecked, you cannot grab the center point if the star is not filled. Add a fill it works fine. Had me totally confused for awhile.
Even if "Treat all objects as filled" is unchecked, I can select the star and grab it from the center exactly as in diagram. I tested in CorelDRAW X3 and X4 with the Dynamic Guides turned On.
Did you select the star before you tried to grab its center?

And "Show Snap location marks" checked (Tools > Options > Workspace > Snap to Objects).

I posted this after I read your post in the other thread, I thought it might be the confusing. It's enabled by default, I think.
Nice to meet you face-to-face, Ronny :)
