EDIT CONTAINER - Shortcuts

Maybe most of members knows these actions, but I could not find in CorelDRAW´s Shortcut List.

Using keyboard shortcuts (faster way) you do not need to apply a new icon on your taskbar

(by the paths: "Tools / Options / Customize (Ctrl + J) ... etc).

  • Sorry, Silvio, but is not "double click", it's just Ctrl+click to edit the powerclip contents. And Ctrl+click on a free space (outside the objects) to exit

I add a shortcut to "place inside container", Ctrl+1, is fast and simple for me

Hi Ariel, I had also been using Alt+P for this for quite sometime, until very recently I found out that you can quickly place inside container by Right Click Dragging onto another object.

      • HI Aleem,

I use Alt+P still, instead of right click drag and drop since almost always I want the shape to be in certain postion relative to powerclip.

By default, CorelDRAW auto-centers when dragging and dropping, unless this changed in options. Even then, accuracy when dragging and dropping is a challenge..  So, ALT+P it is for me.. ;-)

Yeah, the first thing I do after installing corel draw is "Disable Auto Center Power Clip Contents" And I think this should be the default setting for corel draw.

So, there´s something wrong with my CDX4, because ONLY ONE CLICK does not works.(*)

For editing "inside container" I MUST USE Ctrll+DOUBLE click. (I´ve made no personalized shortcut)

To exit editing, as you say, just CTRL+(1)CLICK on a free space works fine.

(*) I started up CDX4 holding down F8 (to be back to default) and got no results. The DOUBLE CLICK action remains...

          Any tip?

You may also right click on the image and then select Edit Contents from the popup menu. (Right click again, when you are finished editing it) and select Finied Editing This Level, to restore it back inside the container.

Yes, it works as you say, btw as Ariel said (just Ctrl+click to edit the powerclip contents) does not run, only if I DOUBLE click. There´s something wrong with my CDX4 that I could not find out. Thank you both.

              • You select first power clip container and ctrl + lbm click on the container, you will use 1 click.

If you select anything and ctrl + double click lbm on the power clip container, you will use double click for this process.

                Maybe difference is this.

Yeah, it works as you say, but..... if  FIRST selecting the object and AFTER that  holding down Ctrl and right click, edit comes up.

But, this is the same of TWO cliks, because you´ve had done the first click when selecting.

In this case, I prefer Ctrl+DOUBLE click (simple and faster).

Although that does not matter any more, I consider the issue solved. THANK YOU ALL.
