HELP! I have had Corel X4 installed for about 3 months then all of a sudden it has stopped working.
Everytime I try to start the app it comes up with "Product Installation Unsuccessful Please Reinstall Error 24" and closes. We have this installed on quite a number of computers with different legit keys on each.
I have tried repairing the installation through add/Remove programs with no success, one one computer tried uninstalling then reinstalling but when installing it comes up with "Invalid Key" when trying to reinstall, which is weird because it worked before and is legit. All computers running Windows XP and had CorelX4 SP1 installed. Have tried installing the Hotfix1 (no sucess).
Have looked through the forums here and can't really see anything that will help. Would really appreciate some info, cheers.
FWIW
I just tried X4 on an XP system, both before and and after applying MS KB981793, a very recent update to Daylight Saving Time for SOME countries (I don't think Canada is affected) and it is June 1 here by just a little bit now. No problem before or after or even after a bootup. So it may be country specific or Windows version specific. So far I haven't seen ALL the posts; those I have seen have not mentioned the Windows version. I do not have X4 installed on a Win 7 system so cannot comment.I think it would be useful if those having problems reported their O/S and if the above noted patch from MS has or has not been applied. Circumstantial evidence (it was only released Thursday I think) suggests a link, but I can't prove/disprove it.
Yeap... here as the same #%¨$@$%¨%¨$# .... error 24... and i agree with the others... the problem appear, after "DAYLIGHT" bla bla bla in update to windos 7 ultimate 32bits ( i set the clock in 31 may and corel run perfecty... ) so, the problem is JUNE !! hahah
quickly fix PLEASE !!
i m also surprising to see this...
but here is the solution...
just set your system clock to Feb. 2010.. no need to change day
refresh..... open corel draw.exe ... that's shoot......... after opening the corel you can again set the month to june....
hope it will solve... as mine has....
The error is both on an XP machine and Vista.
They are both fully updated, both including KB 981793
I doubt that this would be causing the problem.
By the way, my version has "not for resale" in the title bar.
set "APRIL" and back to june really run x4... but the method is SUCKS !!
