I want to get a stack of fonts. I'm looking at this one here http://www.ultimatefontdownload.com/
it is 10,000 fonts, for about 20 bucks. Anyone use this or can reccomend any others?

The best way to handle this, is to remove those 100 fonts, that you added, and then put all the fonts, that you bought and want, into a different directory, not the Windows/Fonts directory. Then fire up Bitstream Font Navigator and have it scan for fonts. From this point on, use BFN to activate/deactivate any fonts that you want to use.
The more fonts that you have active, under Windows, the more Windows resources are used up. This is noticeably so, after you get above a few hundred (for Win 7, I think you start noticing it around 800 fonts, with WinXP, it could be as few as 400 fonts, total, including fonts included with Windows.).
Hugh is right. Windows font library has its limitations and can slow down comp a lot. You can't use all the fonts all the time. As Hugh said, activate font you wish to use and, after you're done, deactivate it... It is just click away and everything will work just fine
There is lots of programs that can manipulate fonts. Google a little and find out what suits you (I use Suitcase Fusion 3 and have sorted fonts by type)
