I use CorelDRAW X4 exclusively (90%) for Laser work. I have a Page saved as Laser Page. It use to open with a 24 x 12 page area and Horizontal and vertical guidelines in place. It is set to "show guidelines."
However, every time I open a new document, the page layout and guidelines are not there. I always have to rebuild the page and add the guidelines. Can anyone tell me what has changed so that all I get is a blank page anymore? Or how to reestablish my defaults? I have re-saved it as my new default countless times but nothing sticks. It's a pain to have to always reestablish the layout I want to work with...
Thanks,
Dave
Have you tried Tools / save settings as defaut? or go to Tools/options/document and save options

don't miss to save the presets
Ok. The custom size for page layout works but the guidelines not appears in a new document.
did you miss point 2? - save presets, i.e. check Guide line option and then Tools - Save Settings as default

Okay... got the guidelines saved for a default page. Thank you.
I have been trying to create a Template and save it in the Template folder... but when I save it and then try to "Open from template" it does not show that I have any templates loaded... won't even show those loaded when the program was installed.
However, if I click the Browse Button, it defaults to the Template folder, showing all the Templates available. Very confusing and time consuming way to get a template loaded...
I wait to EPS ,Ai or pdf bugs to be solved

I was hoping you had the humility to admit that you were wrong, and that it was not a program error, since when you done correctly, the program works fine. But rather than admit your mistake or lack of knowledge, you mentioned again the EPS and AI files errors. What relationship do these files with this problem?
let's see ... Are those the only errors of the program? Of course not. We all want to solve all problems. You only seem to worry about the EPS and AI files, but there are many other things to correct. Moreover, there are even tools that work well but should be improved and perfected. At this point, I do not think Corel will correct errors of X4, X3 and earlier. So we should concentrate our efforts for the next version to be the best as possible, in every aspect.

This thread is a good example of where you blame everything on bugs, when in reality it comes down to your limited knowledge.
Then you bring up your export problems over again, when we've already explained numerous times that there are limitations because of the file formats.Professional designers know how to work around the limitations (or if they don't, they try to learn) and deliver print ready files.Amateurs keep blaming everything and everybody else. It's up to you to choose what category you want to be in.
