just wondering .... when will coreldraw be available on linux?
today, corel is the only application which holds me back from switching
FosterCoburn said:Corel has announced no plans now or in the future to port to Linux. Obviously that could change tomorrow, but as of today there are no plans.
there's a very big community of graphic designers from all over the world that work with corel X4 and would like to get it to work on linux.
we beg you to find a solution - maybe work with wine or crossover.

Yes, you're right. CorelDRAW is fully integrated to Windows, using part of the interface, and also the .NET Framework and Microsoft VBA and VisualStudio macros. There's no chances of CorelDRAW for Linux in the future,
Why catastrophe? Linux is around 5% of the marketplace. Neither Adobe software couldn't run under Linux. How many design companies, advertising agencies, pre-press centers, printing companies, etc are only_linux based? I can't see how this could cause any problem to Corel. On the contrary, I believe that Linux should change their policy and make a more compatible releases.
I'm with you who cares about this?
