My last version of CorelDraw was 8. I just purchased the download (only) copy of the CorelDraw Suite X8 upgrade and installed it on my Windows 10 laptop.
I'm trying to load a CDR file that I created in CorelDraw8 and it immediately tells me that fonts I used are not available. I'm pretty sure that CorelDraw Suite X8 comes with hundreds of Fonts, right? So where are they? I don't have any option for installing fonts (or not installing them) as part of the installation process. I asked online chat help and they told me I can access additional content from Corel Connect. Since I am coming from an old version, Corel Connect is new to me but I loaded it and don't see how it's going to help me install/get fonts that aren't already installed.
I searched the forums for a similar newbie question and the response was to get them off the DVD, but since I only have a downloaded install and no DVD, I can't do that.
I'm stumped. Where are the fonts and how do I get them?
Inside of CorelDraw, use the File menu and select Search Content to get to the Get More docker, or use the Windows | Dockers menu like you have done. Or use the Corel Connect shortcut from Windows' start menu in the CorelDraw Graphics Suite folder.
Using any of the methods, in the screen shot below, I have unchecked anything other than the Content Exchange. The fonts button in the top row of buttons is selected, which affects the search field. But the fonts folder button is also selected and in the body of the screen shot I have the Fonts folder selected. Double-clicking on that will then open various other folders from which to make a selection...and so on.
It is a slower method than previous version. I don't use Connect very often for anything--I use my own folders of fonts and a font manager from which to decide which fonts to use.
