i need to reinstall a previously online bought coreldraw x8 on my new computer. how do i do this. i did go to my emailed link but it says its not valid any more
If you had registered your CGS X8 with Corel, you could go to Corel.com and sign in with the logon and password you created at the time of registration, there, you will find a link to the products that you purchased and registered, also you will find a link to where you could download the product(s) that you have registered with them.
If you did not register your purchase with Corel, then you may have to contact Customer Support. Be ready with proof of purchase, your serial number of the X8 you installed on your older computer. They may be able to help you out.
Hugh. Thank you for the reply. if i select the link in my account, it says : The download link is no longer valid.
And Customer Care isnt answering my chats. i sent them an email as well. will see if they answer in 24 hours maybe.
Try this route:
From the Corel.com page, look at the top right and sign in, You should be taken to a page that is 'Your Account". On that page, in the right, upper portion is a group labeled "Your Products". Click on 'Downloads" in that section. You should see a description of any products that you bought, and a download button for that item.
Under downloads is only:
Hrm....yes, I see that CGS2018 is not there, yet. That is because it is the current offerings.
OK. Try this: Go to the main page of the Corel Web site, and click on the 'Free Trials' tab. That will take you to a page where you can download various products to try for free. Here, you can download the CGS 2018 Suite. When you install the Suite, be on the lookout for the section that allows you to use your current serial number, and enter that into the installation dialog.
The trial version is the same as the purchased version, but it will last only a couple of weeks and then it will be limited in what you can do with it. However, entering your serial number, during the installation, makes it a full, regular installation.
