Until the experts answer, I will answer to you...
Of course, many things of CorelDRAW CAN and MUST get better. Hopefully we can see something of that in X5. Meanwhile, you have a workaround to select similar objects: Edit Menu / Find and replace / find objects / select objects that match the currently select object
If you only want select y color, deselect the "Object type" box. There is a great quantity of options, which you can prove according towhat you need.
Of course, I want it to be a docker, which to allow dag-and-drop the desired object, or which to have an eyedropper to be able to select more easily. But, really, it is only to improve the interface and to facilitate the accessibility, because the basic options already are present.
Another question: how do you think that it can interpret the program which is the property of the object that you want, with the right button? For example, for the option "Delete all but leave one"... how do we know which is the object to preserve? In the same way.. when you talk about selecting similar objects with the right button of the mouse... how you can establish in that which aspect is similar? It can be the same type of fill, the same color, the same outline, the same attributes (overprint, for example) and many more.

First you are Expert
That tool Right click means: Why Corel did not use the right click in three ways:
1 - normal right click: the normal window
2 - right Click with shift key : another window ?
3 - We have Ctrl - Shift - Alt
and we have also Ctrl with Shift together
Why not ?? Corel team are Great and can create like things
But Look
Corel 6 was alone
Corel 8 was anew style and different of Corel 6 ( we feel that we are infront of new program)
Corel 9-10-11 the same
Corel 12 the same but magnetic ogjects
Corel 13-14 Smart fill tool
We hope to see something different at alllllll in X5
I see no Deffrence between X3 & X4 ..... Just in X4 is Lighter icons .......
So that I mean in Right Clicks.
PDF:
I hope that if I make a PDF file from Corel draw ( 4Xample two Objects one of them appear ( the link object ) & the other is hidden( the Border ) untill I put the mouse over the link then it appear to me ( with options during craete to draw the both cases)
Really, CorelDRAW have good shortcuts, but it can be improved. For example, I allways customize my CorelDRAW at the first time. Ctrl+A for "Align" (as older versions) because there's no command for this basic function, of for "place inside container" (the fastest eway to crate a Powerclip) or "copy attributes from..."
And, about old versions...CorelDRAW 3.0 was better than 2.x because it take advantage of the "new" Windows 3.1 operating system. But CorelDRAW was the worst version of all. In this way, CorelDRAW was the 4.o version "corrected". The CorelDRAW 6.0 was re-designed for the future operating system, code-called "Chicago", and launched in 1994. But Chicago changes to Windows 95, and Corel 6 must be updated to CorelDRAW 7. CorelDRAW 9 and 10 was not the same. CorelDRAW was re-redesigned at version 10, to the new line at the present.
You will see a great difference between X3 and x4 if you use Windows Vista. But the greatest is in the use and global performance of the program
You can create rollovers in CorelDraw: select an object then go to Effects-> Rollover -> Create Rollover, and then edit the rollover states for Normal, Over, and Down.
When you Publish that from Draw as a PDF file it does keep any URL or Bookmarks you add to objects for mouse clicks, but unfortunately it does not keep the different rollover states... only shows the Normal state. This would be a cool enhancement though.

I have an object that is distributed throughout 32 pages in my document (6 on each page), and now I want to delete all of them.
Rather than deleting one by one on each page, this thread comes into my mind.
But I have a problem. Whenever I choose the object and then go to "Select Object" as mentioned above, CorelDraw crashes.
What kind of object do you want to choose?
Curves - a combination of straight lines and circles.
I've already done the deletion through the object manager since they are easy to identify.
Still eager to learn the selection method though, it sounds faster.
