Fill colours applied to fonts

 Hi all,

Just joined up to forum, been using CD from v3 to v12 and obviously a huge fan...

anyway..  just loaded x14 and noticed that when you apply a fill colour text and the same cmyk values to a shape they print out differently until the fonts are converted to curves.. am I missing something somewhere? this is causing me problems matching corporate colours on a brochure. Hope someone can tell me I'm being daft...

cheers

  • Hi

I have not found any such discripencies in the fills in X4. OR let me say I have not noticed anything considerable. But if you say, let me check at my end. But I don't think there is any. Any way shall get back.

    • Cheers Anand

I have an example file (just so you know Im not completely loopy) not sure how to pass it on tho' so let me know if you wanna see it

      kind regards

      • You can post the file here. You will find the options button on the message compose screen where you cna attach the file.

        •  Ahhh, thanks for that, here is an example of the offending colour.

          • Thanks for posting the file

Give me some time. Just trying to get it printed on colour printers with some options . modifications in the file.

            • Hi

Colour Prints taken. Seems to have no issues here.I can.t makeout the difference with 45 year old eyes

The colour difference you see, is it an illusion because of the differed areas of the colour. Thinking of  borrowing the densitometer from my prepress supplier to check the colour density.

              •  Cheers for looking at it for me, def' not optical illusion, tried putting one overlapping the other and can really see the difference! will have a go at re-calibrating the printer to check if it's that! got round it on this job (had to covert all text to curves to get solid colour..)

would be interested to know if anyone else has seen this happen??
