I would like to install Corel X4 in English instead of my language it detects from Vista: Dutch (nl).
At startup I can't find any option to change this.
I have a multi-language Corel CD, so I think it must be possible.
Idea anyone ?
When you have opened Draw X4, go to "Tools" - "Options" - "global".
You can select there what language you want to use and you can enable "Ask me ..." and Draw will prompt you for the language to be used every time you open the program. When not enabled, it will open in the language you selected now in the "Select language ..."
A similar procedure holds for PhotoPaint X4.
Kind regards, JoostJ
Thank you Gerard and JoostJ,
CorelDRAW X4 is not installed yet; I want to install it, and I can't find how to choose English for the installer (Setup) language.
Hope this would at least help to get the program installed.
Thank you Michael :)
I opened the English HTM files which the installer uses (DVD:\Setup\Lang\EN\Custom). I managed to install CorelDRAW X4. I guessed that the default Writing Tool would be English, so I chose the same Chinese symbols in the third tab (Options tab) for the "product language".
Now, I'm enjoying CorelDRAW X4.
Glad that you've got it working.
Thanks everybody.
We still need to know how to change the Setup language…
The language of the setup interface is still in Chinese. I didn't install the Extras yet, and each time I repair, uninstall, re-install or add/remove features, I have to understand Chinese.
The question needs answer:
I do not understand Chinese, I bought English version of CorelDRAW, and nothing on my system is related to East Asia.
