Good day
I was wondering if anyone else has the problem of the shortcut key ctrl+z not working after X4 has been running for awhile? It still works at EDIT/UNDO. If I restart the progarm the shortcut key works for a bit then back to using the EDIT/UNDO command.
Regards,
Garrett

If it's not the X4 fault then I say/ask two possible things/questions:
- Do you switch your keyboard? Some keyboard layouts have Z and Y exchanged.
- Do you have an another application installed that reserves this keyboard shortcut? Ex.: recently I had an original video card utility that reserved the Ctrl-Alt-C.
Also when the problem shows up, you may want to check the Undo command's shortcut key: Click Edit, right-click on Undo, Customize -> Menu Item -> Properties.

No it's the same keyboard I have been using all along and I have no problems with any other program that uses the Z key for undoing an actoin.
I never see any problem like this whith Ctrl+Z

This sound like a problem with the free system resources. I saw something similar with other programs, for example, if you open a lot of programs, files, or windows (with Firefox or Explorer) sometimes some keyboard shortcuts will deactivate, because there's a problem with the free resources. But not all shortcuts, and not all at the same time. Since Ctrl+Z is a common keyboard shortcut for all Windows programs, sounds logic that was one of the first commands deactivacted, and if you close programs or restart the computer, with more free resources all shortcuts works fine. Note, this is not problem with the amount of RAM of the computer, only the Windows management
If you are working on partial window (I have a large monitor, two or three windows are always open) and your mouse pointer is away from Corel, clicking on a file to find its properties for example, the Corel window becomes inactive even thow it is still in front. Ctl+Z will not work or Ctl+Shift+Z for that matter. This often happens to me, multi tasking is a pain sometimes. Try working in full screen and see if the problem occurs. Just an observation.

Sorry I haven't been back to check this in a bit.
Thank you all for your responses. I have tried the things you all suggested and nothing seems to help. Oh well I guess I'll just have to use edit/undo for now. Maybe this will be addressed in updates.
Have a great day
Bringing this old issue again from the dead...
But i'm having the same problem, and i can relate this when i costumize the shortcuts. After i costumize some shortcuts, and restarting Corel X4, all keyshortcuts all lost. Can't copy or paste...
The only thing i can do it's to reset to the default shortcuts and costumize again the shortcut i need for that session...
Help ?

HI.
Sounds like you are logged in as a guest and/or do not have permission to modify the folder that contains workspace settings.
