Is there a plug-in to fit an image to a sphere or a cylinder? I used the 3D effects (cylinder) in Photo Paint with limited results, specially if I need to show some perspective. Does it take a 3D modeling aplication to accomplish this?
Thanks
If you got limited results with the 3D effects, you could use a 3D application. Blender is excellent and it is free.

yoou can do it in illustrator.

I am not a big fan of Illusrator, but it is exactly what I was looking for. This should be a must have feature in next Corel Draw . The program Michael recommends is impressive, but that is another learning curve.

I think that with the extrusion, the fisheye lens and the envelope and a little imagination you can achieve pretty good results. Not like a 3D program but acceptable.

Yes it is acceptable unless the 3d angle of an object is supposed to be changed later. This all would need to be done from the scratch wouldn't it? and more importantly Leunam12, the poster asked about the "Image". For that he has no option but to ask for Illustrator to do it for him.

ooohh! and image means a "bitmap" right? Of course, what am I thinking
See for urself how easy they are with Illustrator. The best part is u can change angle and even remove the image at any time.
I also agree that this is a feature I'd like to see in Draw. In fact... I am surprised Illus had this first.
For many, this would be "enough" 3D capability for many typical projects.

Can achieve this by converting the paragraph text to artistic text then apply perspective.

What does "this" refer to? However, you can add your comment there. I think you might be missing the point.
