Does anybody know how I copy an object around a circle. For example, if you wanted to put 1/2" stars around a 10" circle. After I have drawn the star in the "12 o'clock" position, how do I copy, say 15 of them around the circle, or around a center point. In AutoCAD this was called an Array, but I cannot figure out how to do it in CorelDraw. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!
Here's another way:
Got it THANKS to both of you. I ended up using the rotate command in the transformation window docker, moving the star center point as mentioned to the center of the circle, and then indicating the degree I wanted just "applied to duplicate" until all were copied.
THANKS!!!
Ken
The Blend tool is very versitile and can be used for so many different things.
[1] Create your star.
{2] Press + on your numeric keypad to duplicate
[3] With both stars selected, in the Blend Docker, hit apply.
[4] Click on the 3rd icon (path) at the bottom of the main page of the Docker and point to your circle. Hit apply.
[5] Check the box that says blend along full path and set the number of steps (stars). Hit apply.
Once you do this once or twice, the whole process should take you a few seconds, at the most.
There's all kinds of stuff you can do with the Blend tool,................not only placing objects on a path.
If you get a chance, take some time to play around with the features of the Blend Tool.
I promise, you won't be disappointed!
It worked! lol Thanks. That is exactly the function I was looking for. l also noticed you could have the object rotate as it "revolved" or to stay in its current orientation. Thanks! Very Helpful!
Glad you got it to work for you.!
