I have a problem with printing in X5. All the documents I've worked in X4when I print the X5 have a problem with the colors, they are not the same with X4.help me please.
Printing with:
HP inkjet 110 A0Riso RZ370, RZ590 A3Epson inkjet 1400 A3Canon laser LBP5200 A4HP laser 1010 A4
Gennady Petrov, I managed to get good results while following your instructions, bus is there a more user friendly solution which includes the advantages of using the exact printer profile?
PLease help!!!!
My initial file is cymk workspace but i want to print in grayscale to my Riso EZ370 - i have no idea which setting is the best as my manual dont explain the various options to me
like dotscreen 10%; 15%; 20% or 30% - which one used ore dots ot less?
And does colorimetric have in influence on grayscale printing?
what is the difference in output between the various gary gamma's?
anyone who can give me pointers? of rever me to a site that explains all these options?
Much appreciated!

My color management settings in X4
The first problem you have: you don't have a color profile. All items are "Generic"... what's is "generic"? Since settings changes according the country, and the printing process, is almost impossible to know what settings do yo use. Or, in other words, you never specify what settings do you need or what do you want. The X4 works fine anyway? you're lucky. But for professional output, is nt a matter of luck. You must specify your printer, your monitor and graphic card, how do you want to see the colors on screen, how do you want to convert the RGB on CMYK, and the settings you will use for printing. All those settings are your "color profile". You must use those settings (the same settings, of course, on all programs, including X5, Photoshop or any other.
Perhaps on X5 you don't have activated "preserve pure black" or "gray as black", that is important too

please, don't repeat the post, you have the same question on a separate thread, if you mix the questions, the answers will be confused...
