I've been using Corel Draw since way back and am still using Corel Draw 11.Only for one reason, the Snap to grid!
Now I want to move on to X5 and have tried all ways to make the snap snap like it did in pre 12 versions. Been googling around, searching forums etc, but still no solution.
Know what I'm talking about? Let's say I'm drawing rectangles. I want all 4 corners to snap to the grid, regardless of how uncarefully I draw them or move them around, regardless of the zoom level, with no possibility to make them snap between the grid!
Is there a solution or am I forced to use version 11 until I die? :)

Do you mean more "magnetic power" or more exact adjust? You can setup the precision under Tools/Options/Edit
To make myself clearer. These red squares shall be impossible to draw. They are off grid. And the green squares shall be impossible to move or resize into the red ones positions or sizes, neither be able to dragged into off grid positions.
Simply 100% strict snap to grid, no matter zoom level or which point youre dragging an object!
As far I understand, what you want is more "magnetic power" on the snap to grid, as older versions... sorry, I believe is not longer possible.

Seems to work fine here Zoomed to 672%
Maybe you should explain why you want to make it impossible to have objects off the grid? (what's your workflow? )
It's easy to get the 'good!' results in >12 (although still possible to do that 'bad!', if you want), but I suppose this doesnt' work for you?
As far I understand, on previous versions the "magnetic field" was stronger, and force you to snap to the grid. On newest version you can snap to the edge or not, Is better for most users, but he want to have the old "magnetic power"

Not just _stronger_. It was 100% correct. ;)

I wish.

Simply because I switched Snap to grid on for a reason. Let's say I want to draw a "pixel font". Then I want everything to be ON grid ALL THE TIME. 100% TIGHT snapping ALWAYS.

Yeah, it's possible to make mistakes.. That's the problem. I have to check and correct everything I do all the time because Corel doesn't snap correctly. Need to be careful when drawing, can't zoom in too much because Corel lose it's "magnetic power", need to be careful where I place the mouse when moving objects so it doesn't snap the mouse position instead of the object, need to check where I drop an object so it doesnt get between the grid lines, need to check everything afterwards, need to do things twice where Corel missed it. The workflow get SO much slower. Instead of just being creative....
Doesn't anyone I agree?
Thank you all for trying to help me. But I'm pretty sure there isn't a solution. I need to continue with Corel Draw 11. :)
Fortunately there's even a Mac version of 11. Just too bad that version sucks big cocks hehe. More buggy than any PC version ever released.
Mac + Parallels + XP + Corel 11 :D
