After a "format c:" i´m trying to reinstall my corel x5. But after starting the install-progress i only can see this:
What does it mean? I can´t imagine where this comes from?!?
Does anybody know how to handle this fault?
Hello donschuller; I don't have a clue to what kind of computer or Windows you are trying to install it on, but is the computer still doing anything while the flag is displayed?
George
Hello George,
i´m using Windows 7 Professional on a pc with a core i5 prozessor. Like i said, it worked once, but now the same error occures when i try to install it on my notebook. Everything else still works fine, nothing is frozen or hang.. I tried a clear startup, different versions of the download, still the same error
Greetings,
donschuller
Do you have .net 3.5 installed?
I think X5 needs that, and the installer might get confused if you have only .net 4 or later. But do not remove the later versions -- if you have them, it is because newer programs are using them.
I tried, but then i found out, that Win7 has .net 3.5 included. You have to activate it in the system preferences, but it doesent change anything..
Does anybody have a suggestion? I tried uninstalling the whole .net stuff and reinstalled it, twice, but nothing happens and i need corel..
What did you do after formatting the drive? Did you restore any backups that might have written into the Corel program or data folders?
