How could I make the text flow in the shaded area?
Secondly, there is a logo at the lower left hand. The logo is apparently a image file like jpg.
But the outside border is shaded and can cut the image to fit into it.
How can I make this?
For those who are above to answer such questions: You can simply keep silent.
Hi WW,
What you ask is very basic and elementary design stuff that can be done in Draw. It sounds like you are lacking knowledge in how Draw works thus just starting to play with it, cool, first you got to learn the tools and what they do. I don't have x5 installed on this machine but I suggest you visit some tutorials and look at the "hints" docker in Draw. It's just shapes, fills, text, imported image and drop shadow and outlines.
Use the ellipse tool and draw a circle, go to top of screen and arrange/convert to curves. Then grab the shape tool and start playing with it by changing the shape of the circle. while highlighted click on some color swatches on the right of your screen to fill it with color. Lots of folks learned this program just by playing, reading and asking specific questions here.
Import some clip art then ungroup them, pull the pieces apart and see how it was put together. Very cool program and lots of fun to learn it. That is how I started with Draw way back in version 5 (not x5).
Watch some of the videos here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=90qwOy0vp7c
I am sure lots of folks here will help you along the way.
tell me how to make the text fit into the shape

Import your logo, Highlight with pick tool then drag to size you want. Click on drop shadow tool and drag your shadow and adjust.
I do not have Drop shadow box. Furthermore, my image is square.
But the one shown has rounded corner.
I need a container, a window to put the image in, so that it is automatically cut.
Draw your shape and powerclip your imported into it. OR make your image the proper shape/size and add a drop shadow in PhotoPaint before importing into Draw.
Great help docs in the program. Visit "help" and spend some time playing around with the tools.
how about fitting the text into the bizzard area? If it is a rectangular there is no problem. But that shape I even do not know how to precisely select it since it is welded by two geometries, as I select on it sometimes it got the whole shape sometimes part of it.
hello wvw
think you have several willing helpers that have suggested perhaps you need to know more about how corel draw works first without knowing what original pieces you have to work with it is very difficult to say how you do what you want.
the basic picture is a simple composition to build if you have the fonts to typeset it from start.
perhaps you should go here http://coreldrawtips.com/ look through some of alex galvez's tutorials and you will see how to do it.
just learn the tools in corel you will find it very easy to this type of work.
Learning self sufficiency is the most satisfying part of corel tips and help files

1. you can keep silent nobody will say you are dummy
2. you can simply draw it out show that you can indeed make it. There have been may people saying tat is simple and indeed told me how to make it. But simply does not work!
