I had been using x4 and now have x7. Originally when needing to remove one single line from a double line I would use the VSD tool. It would delete the top-most line. Which is fine as long as one line is removed it didn't matter which for me. Now with x7 the same tool now simply deletes all the lines. DEAR GOD TELL ME THERE IS A WAY TO FIX THIS. I really don't need this on a Monday when returning to work and having to stop and learn how to do something I've been doing one way for a very long time. Since changing editions I have been very disappointed in the new program.
OK real simple here.
I am drawing a doorway. Like in pict one.
Now I use the VSD to get rid of the DOUBLE LINE. Only it doesn't erase the topmost it deletes them all like in pict 2.
When all I want it the result in pict 3. IN FACT I DON'T CARE WHICH LINE IT ERASES. JUST AS LONG AS ONE IS LEFT.

You have a lot of alternatives.
1 - The Shape Tool (Ctrl+ Q for convert to curves, F10 for take the Shape tool, select both nodes, Ctrl+X for cut the line)
2 - Trim (Enlarge the central red rectangle, select both and choose Trim)
3 - The Premium Knife tool
4 - Draw an horizontal line at the bottom

A little short of time right now but try the "Remove background" setting in PowerTRACE. It should remove the background and the objects with the same color if you also check "Remove color from entire image". You can also try "Remove object overlap" and "Group objects by color". These options may, with a little luck, create a trace that is easier to deal with.
You’re welcome.
