I am having an issue in X7 where, when I use the shape tool to select specific nodes within an object and then either copy or cut those nodes, the entire object gets copied/cut, not just the nodes I selected.
This wasn't always the case—previously, when I selected specific nodes and then cut/copied them, it was only those nodes that were then pasted.
What changed? How do I revert back to this capability?
Are there alternative methods for "extracting" (i.e. cutting/copying and then pasting) specific nodes/paths of an object, into an entirely new object?

Works fine for me in X7.
Are you familiar with macros? I have a CopySubpath macro that will copy and paste in one click. Might do it for you.
That's what's weird, is prior to an incident where X7 crashed on me, it was working fine, too....so I'm not sure what would've changed or why I'm experiencing this problem?
