Font Manager X8

Hi. Have used CorelDraw since version 2 (not X2). Loaded the trial version of X8 plainly because of the Font Manager. I have 5040686 fonts (48GB). I have immediately had problems accessing my fonts, probably due to my directory structure. Not all fonts are on my "productions systems", but on network drive. Can you add me to your "beta testers"? All systems running latest Windows 10 64bit on a gigabit network (Paired NIC's on all systems - 2GB/s, and all systems running on SSD's)

  • Would you be willing to help Corel? If so I'll send this post to the right person.

    • Over 5,000,000 fonts! I bet there's some duplicates in there.
      • And I thought my 7,000 were a mess.

        • That's a bet I am unlikely to take. That is why I was looking forward to a Font Manager that's works properly.
          • Well....only 1800 odd fonts installed, but the rest in archive folders. Been collecting fonts since the late 1980's
            • I have to say that for me with my 2,500 fonts it works really well.
              • Hi Roy
I have Corel since old version 2 (1980's?) and up to X4 the old Bitstream FN did the job quite well. Since then I think it stared lagging behind operating systems and hardware capabilities. I recently upgraded all system to windows 10 and upped the hardware quite a bit as well. No more hard drive bottlenecks and ample RAM. Bitstream FN has reached it's limits long ago. And to manually sort fonts is a task I do not want to take on and it is time it is done. Thus a Font manager that works as advertised will be fantastic.
              • Am willing and able to do so. Have had quite a few other hiccups and "freezes" with font manager. Am prepared to set up "test PC" just for testing Corel X8.
