Hey guys Im using the default CMYK plate in my workspace, but I wander why I m having the Uniform colors palette in my Fountain fill window. Even if I set the default CMYK color palette as default, it is only applied till Corel is restarted, I've also used "save settings as default" but it doesn't work.
if the values are correct (for example, blue= C:100 M:100 Y:0 K:0) the problem is the Color Manager. Go to the Tools menu / Color Manager and choose the correct color profile
If you read the "How to set a palette as default for all color dropdowns" tip and set the palette as default, then the palette in the image you attached is the default palette you chose.
The problem is in the colors CorelDRAW set automatically for the fountain fill which is CMYK black and CMYK white. So if you choose any color from the palette and then click the "Others" button, you will see that it is the palette you chose.
In the Fountain dialog, you choose "Uniform" colors to apply it to the selected handle (small rectangles or triangle above the fountain strip) to build fountains.
If you want fountain palette, you can choose from the preset fountains and create your own.
If we are not answering your question, you might need to read it.
Awaiting you feedback

Yes, I dont want the Uniform Color Palette in any of the color drop downs or fountain dialog, Even when I set the default CMYK plate as "defaut palette" it is only applied momentarily. But after corel restarts I get the same uniform color palette in all of color dropdowns and fountain dialog. I use the customized workspace so I can't reset to the factory settings either, I know that will solve my problem but not at the cost of my hundred of short keys that I've defined.
Aha, "Uniform Palette" refers to a certain palette; I found it under the Fixed Palettes.
It works fine here and I can choose the palette I want. I don't know why this is happening with you or how to solve it, I apologize.
Maybe editing the registry will solve it without resetting your workspace… I hope someone will help us.
If you haven't already, try to set the Default CMYK Palette as default and then saving setting as default from Tools.

That option isn't new guys.................it's been around for a lot of versions.
An amature's question?
Are you using a Custom Workspace? And if so are you re-saving it after you set your Color Palette?
